Film Comment Selects: Mortem

The greatest love of all.

As part of our new blog series “Closely Observed,” we return to the good old days of shot analysis. Mortem, screening in Film Comment Selects, seems like an obvious place to start: taking its visual (and some thematic) cues from noir, this metaphysical thriller beguilingly twists and turns. To say more would be criminal; let the images speak for themselves.

And if you really do have questions, director Eric Atlan will be in-person for both shows.

This story is part of the January-February 2012 issue of Film Comment.
