Part of the excitement of the New York Film Festival is the chance to see films early, but it’s just as essential to the festival experience to be able to hear directors speak candidly about their work. On October 8, Claire Denis (Let the Sunshine In), Kevin Jerome Everson (Tonsler Park), and Joachim Trier (Thelma) joined Film Comment Editor-in-Chief Nicolas Rapold to discuss their new films, working with actors, the filmmakers that inspire them, and what they would do with unlimited resources.
